Job Details

This position is offering very flexible hybrid working. Their offices are based in the South Yorkshire borders.

The Role
This is a pivotal role within the Creative Services team and will report directly to the Marketing Director. You will lead and manage the whole design function to best support all the marketing and communication requirements across the Group studios.

You are responsible for the design outputs for all our studio brands so will have a deep understanding of design and able to guide the overall design process from ideation to final designed assets. Ultimately, while handling multiple projects, you champion the design thinking.

You provide design leadership by giving clear creative direction to the team so that every creative brief delivers best-in-class design. You will need to be adept at understanding different audiences, handling multiple brands, channels and asset types. For instance, you and your team be expected to provide designs on anything from social content, event branding, merchandise, presentations, website and digital assets to developing brand logos and guidelines.

You will be responsible for the management of the design team by providing direction, having regular 1:1's, managing the teams personal objectives and reviews. Plus, be adept at managing the team's workload alongside the Production Manager in order to drive throughput.

  • Inspire the team and be a strong line manager to guide, nurture and mentor the team from personal development goals to support with creative briefs
  • Able to solve difficult design problems and create frameworks from these design solutions
  • Ensure a high throughput of design projects that vary in range and scale, while ensuring they always represent our brand guidelines and values.
  • Capable of looking at the big picture and diving into design details
  • Be the strong, confident communicator and collaborator with all colleagues - including the ability to work hand-in-hand with the video team
  • Be able to personally take ownership of multiple design projects, so able to be hands-on in conceptual ideas and creating design solutions/assets
  • Experience to develop, identify and capitalise on opportunities to deliver best-in-class design across various assets, including: 
  • Digital content (including email, web and social)
  • Merchandise
  • Presentations and toolkits
  • Branding
  • Print
  • Event collateral

  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and working knowledge of Premiere and After Effects

  • Capable of working with workflow platforms such as Monday.com
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation design skills
